The classic prose creates a fictional world of
simplicity and nature through description of the
Peach Blossom Spring’s peaceful and tranquil
life, just like in today’s real world, everyone is
in search of a place of happiness. The seal script
partially references Wang Fu-an in aim to achieve
harmony between large and small seal scripts,
further fusing more calligraphic stroke styles.
The various shades of ink, brushstrokes, and
writing speed differ from Wang Fu-an’s chopstick
seal script. Expressing own thoughts through
calligraphy, I hope to echo Tao Yuan-ming across
time and space.
