Ԉͣॱ٤ග̚ዎࣣٙجߕኪf
I prioritize classical calligraphy to capture the
unique features of running script, such as varied
spacing, alignment, and ink shades; through my
brushwork, I try to display different qualities
of ink amounts, line qualities, creating melodic
brushstrokes.
Also, I mimic the rubbings of ancient Han
monuments in clerical script for blanked out
strokes, and filled the paper with ink to create the
mottled effect of rubbing, revealing an unadorned
calligraphic aesthetic of white and pure space
among rhythmic ink strokes.
