作品說明
使用局部的裝飾性圖案，營造華麗的效果，再 優 選 ─
加上動物本身的象徵性，來表達人對外貌好惡
的選擇。綿羊象徵純潔；孔雀象徵優美才華，
神聖而被視為鳳凰的化身，在希臘神話則有赫
拉女神之稱；暹羅貓即「月亮鑽石」之意，在
泰國被視為王室的象徵；至於狗與兔子，皆為 Award of Merit
一般常見被人飼養的動物，被人對待的選擇，
更有賴外貌的判定，好的受人疼愛，反之則隨
意對待甚至遭人殺害淪為狗肉、兔肉。選擇這
樣的動物配置，希望引起人們的反思。

Description
To present the human tendency to focus
on one's appearance, the decorative image
introduces classic effects, combined with
added animal characteristics. Sheep are
characterized as purity, peacocks symbolize
elegance and talent and are known to
symbolize the phoenix; the peacock was
also the sacred animal of the goddess Hera
from Greek mythology. A Siamese cat is
defined as a“moon diamond”and given
royal treatment in Thailand, while dogs and
rabbits are often considered pet animals, with
their discriminatory treatment based on their
appearance—good-looking pets receive good
care while not-so-good-looking ones will end
up as meals on the table. The purpose of
depicting the arrangement of animals in the
painting is to leave viewers with the message
of“care for all animals” .
