Description

After seeing the giant Rubber Duck
in 2024, I was struck by how, as we
                           grow older, simplicity and ordinariness
                           become increasingly precious. The
                           childhood innocence of playing with
a small duck in the bathtub gradually
fades away as we grow up and gets
lost in the rush of life, especially Additional Work
in a city where every second feels
                           contested. This work mainly reflects
my sense of melancholy toward the
changes in my environment and 2
state of mind, lamenting the loss of
                           carefree innocence and leisure. The
image of a broken full moon serves
as a metaphor for a childhood purity
that no longer exists—a life that is no
                           longer simple.
