                                                                                               此件作品乃以傳統為基,結合現代與抽象造型,以一種傳
                                                                                               承與蛻變的概念創作。作者以傳統製作大水缸之手擠坯技
                                                                                               法,轉換、引用於現代陶創作,利用手擠坯一體成形的特
                                                                                               性,協助作者能在成形的當下,立即快速地做不同於機器

                                                                                               製作難以達到的角度變化,及克服泥土撐力問題。
                                                                                               在型體上時而挺胸昂頭,時而謙卑屈首,看似直立,亦如
                                                                                               倒立,多處轉折,以考驗泥土撐力極限,底部更以小於主
                                                                                               體甚多的小柱為支撐,以表現製作難度,中心點重力等定
                                                                                               位準確度極為重要;另以實相與虛處兩種不同形式約相同
                                                                                               大小的圓,分置放於不同處,除整體構圖上的協調與平衡
                                                                                               考量外,主要表達無論身處何地,隨處皆不離真心,則處
                                                                                               於任何一個地方,你皆是主人。作品取名〈本位〉,即真心、
                                                                                               莫忘初衷之意。


                                                                                               Description
                                                                                               This work is based on traditions while combining modern
                                                                                               and abstract design to demonstrate the creative concepts
                                                                                               of heritage and transformation. The artist converts and
                                                                                               introduces traditional hand-pinching technique for making
                                                                                               large water tank to modern ceramic creation. Utilizing the
                                                                                               unique feature of the technique, where ceramic wares come
                                                                                               out in one piece, the artist can create rapidly angles and
                                                                                               variations unachievable by machines, to overcome the issue
                                                                                               of insufficient support force within clay.
                                                                                               The form of the work seems to be standing tall, while at
                                                                                               times it seems to be bowing down. It looks like it stands
                                                                                               upright, but also seems to be upside-down, featuring
                                                                                               various twists and turns that challenge the limit of clay's
                                                                                               support force. The base is supported by a pillar much

                                                                                               of difficulty; the precise positioning of the center mass is
                                                                                               extremely important. Also, an actual and a virtual circle
                                                                                               similar in size are placed at different spots to not only
                                                                                               create harmony and balance in the composition, but also
                                                                                               to convey that if a person can always remain truthful and
                                                                                               sincere wherever he or she is, then that person can be
                                                                                               the master wherever he or she goes. The name“Original
                                                                                              Position”means a sincere and truthful heart, and that we
                                                                                               should never forget our origins and original intentions.
