                                      Award - Miscellaneous Category    in Taichung. It not only provides residents with a great place for leisure but, decades
                                                                        ago, was also the center for lacquer art handicrafts.“Amusements at Taichung
                                                                        Park”portrays the park’s lakeside pavilions in addition to kapok trees and two
                                                                        Japanese white-eye (Zosterops japonicus) birds. Kapok trees used to be the official
                                                                        flower of Taichung County, before the city and county merged into the Taichung
                                                                        Special Municipality. The artist has utilized several elements strongly connected with
                                                                        the Taichung area in her work, which she presents with traditional lacquer painting
                                                                        techniques while also utilizing shell inlay, silver leaf and other elements.
