Description

The concept of the “Dao” can be conveyed not only through written text
but also through seal carving. With the theme “Seeking the Ancients and
Exploring Ideas, Dispersing Worries and Wandering Freely,” this work
aspires to investigate the origins of things and the first movements of the
mind, uncovering the true meanings of ancient classics while refining
the freedom of effortless action (wu wei). The seals incorporate selected
phrases such as “The spirit of carefree self-contentment,” “The perfect
person has no self,” “The sage has no name,” and excerpts from ZHUGE
Kongming’s Admonitions to His Son, all expressing a philosophical
journey through the art of seal engraving.
