Award of Merit
Throughout our lives, we are constantly
in pursuit of understanding ourselves. In
college, I discovered that everyone was
light, and we must shine on each other
for us to see ourselves. In the process of
self-exploration (I refer to this period of
time as “Light Searching”), I searched for
my places in society and life, realizing
that I am a wall, absorbing and refracting
others’ light onto the ground, and their
strengths and weaknesses have become
the forces that drive my progress.
