The serene tenderness of Oriental ink painting
combined with Western square composition,
exploring the diverse and ever-changing
possibilities of the East-West fusion. The first
layer of the two-layered structure features linear
expressions of figures, tribal features, and birds
and plants; the second layer depicts large areas
of layered and rendered auspicious and festive
flowers and plants in asymmetric and imbalanced
geometric shapes, connecting unique ethnical
patterns and gold foils. The newlyweds in the
ceremony have their heads lowered. They are shy
and seem to have something to say, constructing
a scene under the new moon full of blessings.
