The painting probes into the relationships
between technology and nature and men and
machine in the contemporary society. The self
within the mirror symbolizes personal cognitive
reflection. AI technology represents the power
and challenges of technology. Plants and
mechanical butterflies in an urban setting present
the contrast between city and nature. These
elements are fused together through the aesthetics
of Oriental art, where ink and color are used to
present mankind’s exploration and contemplation
on the values of the external world. I hope that
the work can trigger viewers’ contemplation on
the relationship between technology and human
nature.
