Ancient Shang people believed that their
ancestors were born after a woman swallowed
the egg of a sacred black bird. People and
animals have many unique ties, and the blood
relations can be traced back to the traditional
religions of the primitive society. I am curious,
and try to probe into how these myths have taken
shape. I also modify and distort traditional myths
to create new looks and give them new symbolic
meanings.
