Spring morning, “Piano Trio No.7 ‘Archduke’”
finishes right after breakfast. I stand up to switch
the record, and sunlight is scattered by blooms of
chinaberry tree, blending into the terrazzo floor.
The scent of hand brewed coffee spreads in the
air from the kitchen, and stray cats pushing each
other in the yard are dancing tango with the cello
solo from the record player.
