Through depiction of everyday display window,
people’s lamenting of life and death and hopes
within during the pandemic are reflected. The
painting features mainly warm color tones
to present the clothes and accessories of the
mannequins. Swaying leaves, real or unreal,
symbolize people’s desire for socialization and
travel. The scattered dark and grey shadows
not only reveal how life is ever-changing like
shadows through the transition between reality
and virtuality, but also turn the mesmerizing
subjects of the painting into people’s dim hopes
for happiness.
