Description
Imitating the cliff carving style in clerical
script to perceive the transition between
clerical and seal scripts. I did not usually
create large-font works; during the pandemic,
I was touched by Japanese government’s
citing of Chinese classical literature when
gifting goods and supplies to Taiwan, and
decided to give large characters a try. I
tried to fuse the brushstrokes and structure
of clerical script, and the inscription was
written in small-font standard script in an
appropriate blank space, hoping to create
contrasting effect and traditional charm,
while presenting the unique characteristics of
our time for a refreshing presentation.
