Description
After publishing “FANG Si-Qi’s First Love
Paradise,” Taiwanese author LIN Yi-Han
struggled to walk out of the nightmare of being
molested by her teacher as a young girl, and
committed suicide at home in 2017, sadly putting
an end to her brief but beautiful life. Resonating
with the author’s pain and struggle, I created
the “Distressed Soul” that manifests anxiety and
unrest. With parents not understanding her and
external stresses, the girl is pulled by her collapsing
emotions; her calm appearance tries to suppress
and hide the unbreakable inner shackles, and the
tightly intertwined dilemma is engulfing herself,
presenting a soul that struggles to breathe.
