ϞԬ೨߮ʔሞ׵Ԓא׵ːdԨڢ˟೨ᖹکঐബᇠf Some pains, whether mental or physical, cannot be
CHEN Jia-Yi relief by drugs. To me, menstruation is a kind of pain,
࿁ҢԸႭd͛ଣಂکνΝՉ̴߮೨dՉމ၇ᗳʘ
А෯ఱவᅵႚϜ ɓdҢ༊ഹၾʘ΍πԨ˲ྒྷ༊ڌࠑfЪۜᜳชԸ which I try to live with and describe. The work is
inspired by the blood on maxi pads that lingers—
Crooked Menstruation lingering, overlapping, moist, dry, and solid. The seven
93Ò139cm Іሊ͛ಗɪٙА૰ۨ࿒dထवeࠠᛌe᐀ᆗe৻ curled up bodies in the painting symbolize menstrual
ᐇeո࿒ഃf೥ࠦɪɖࡈႚϜٙٮ᜗൥ᅄ͛ଣಂ
periods. Using woven lines and curled bodies, and
඄ಂdᔟഹᇞ׌ʹᔌձႚϜٮ࿒ʿᘤيᕙ਼ࣘٙ layered mineral pigments, I present the emotions like
ᛌdяତ̈຾ಂٙೊᅇe೨߮ഃઋၫʿ͛ଣڌତf anxiety, pain, and physiological symptoms during
menstrual periods.
