"The works are mainly in the style of ancient stamps.
Brush, ink, knife, and stone, are all indispensable in seal-engraving.
In short, one must maneuver the knife like a brush in hope to gain
some insight.
For the layout and composition, it is necessary to remain steady
while pursuing innovation, displaying the charm through steadiness,
preserving ordinary within extraordinary, and embodying tranquility
within movements. The primitive and solidity, spirituality, naturality,
strangeness, and elegance of ancient stamps are the goals I pursue. "
