HSU Yi-Hsuan
Description
The author (me) uses a personi ed perspective to
depict the beings of this world. A plate is a world,
and through layering of woodcuts and repeated
carving and pressing, I shape a journey of stories
and life, as well as a magical world that embodies
the cycle of all beings. I try to capture the forms
of animals, framing instantaneous intentions. I
assemble the vivid movements of every mouse into
a scene frozen in a moment in time{you never
know how their relationships are formed, how they
will evolve, or how they will end.
