Description
The floating quilt symbolizes the weight of
home. The flower-patterned quilt indicates
the warmth and weight of the home, while the
tunnel of branches symbolizes a small space
similar to the womb. The child playing hide-
and-seek symbolizes the point where the artist
returns to childhood memories. The mirrored
image wishes to help bear the weight of the
home, yet simultaneously wants to run from
the heavy burden. The child moves toward
reality through play, while the adult moves
toward fantasy via the mirrored image.
