Description
The gourd is ripened and its leaves are dry. The Ji River can be shallow, or deep.
At the deep points, don’t bother lifting your robe, but at the shallow points you
should. The river is quite high and the wild pheasants are squawking. Its surface
hasn’t risen to level of a cart axle but the pheasants have started searching for
r
their mates. The wild geese are singing as the sun rises. If you’e looking for a
wife, you should cross the river before it freezes. The boatman keeps asking me
to get on the boat. I can see many passengers boarding but I’m staying, waiting
for my“friend”to arrive.
