In Japan, the mainstream size of seal engraving is around 7 centimeters. The
style of seals primarily adopts Western Zhou bronze inscriptions and Warring
States period ancient seals. The expression may differ from Taiwan. In Japan,
there is a preference for imperfection; to convey an antique feel, edges are often
stricken to present an ancient and unadorned appearance, while presenting
the flexibility and aesthetics of seal script by allowing viewers to imagine the
seal-engraving process, expressing the beauty of imperfection. The inscription
is inspired by regular script of Wei, which is created by the rubbings of four
characters on four stones around 7 centimeters in size.
