During the evolution of clerical script and regular, many crude and less Award of Merit
standardized Chinese character styles emerged. This artwork attempts to mimic
the style found in the "Record of the Buddha Image,” which expresses the
transitional and unformed nature of the characters. In the process of writing, I
incorporated varied dryness, density, and angle of brush to create a diverse look.
