For this work, a long goat-hair brushes is
used to write clerical script, presenting an
unadorned and grand style, using the brush
for bamboo writing to accentuate the mottled
Award of Merit
quality of bronze and stone inscriptions. The
work in cursive script is based on the styles
of the Two Wangs, while also referencing
calligraphic techniques in Ming and Qing,
striving for expressive freedom while adhering
to the traditional rules.
