ೌจගጊԈዓᇵԉໝdவࣺʃণٙΈᅂ̺ An unintentional peek at a corner under the shade, and I
CHEN Huang-Yu was attracted by the light and shadow of this tiny plant.
҅הіˏdՑΈලฮʹ፹ٙࠦdชա˰
Looking at scene woven by light and shadow, I realized
ජ͛ ගຬيேϞජՇࠦd͛ජeජ͛ٙ༸ଣf that all beings in the world has both yin and yang sides, and
Yin-Yang Symbiosis that yin gives rise to yang, and yang gives rise to yin. At the
93Ò124cm ΝࣛdɰΪ̘ϋ˨ፋᕎ˰Ͼชׂd˨ፋٙҐᇵ same time, I reflected on father’s passing away last year, and
ʑঐᜫҢ߶ѯdה˸ɰซ˸ϤԸߏׂههf realized that I could only thrive under the shade of father.
I wanted to create this painting in commemoration of my
ЪࠬࣸաՑ19˰ߏߵ˥۾กgЖлg
father. The style is inspired and influenced by 19th century
Жत઼ٙ೯ၾᅂᚤd༶҅̋͜əʕͣ̒ீ British watercolorist William Henry Hunt, and for parts of
the painting, I used semi-transparent pointillist technique of
ᓃج̘яତɽІ್ٙЍሜᜊʷf
Chinese white to present the changing colors of nature.
