Description
In summer 2019, a heatwave of 46.2 degrees
Celsius hit Europe. In front of the Strasbourg
Cathedral on the French-German border, I met
a celloist under the scorching sun. The sound of
cello penetrated the golden sunlight in the square,
passionate and loud. The musician indulged in
his playing, and his facial expression revealed his
passion for art. At this moment, the exquisite reliefs
of the century-old cathedral was no match to his
music. To record him, I busied under the scorching
sun for over 10 minutes, feeling as if I had a
heatstroke, but the musician continued to play in a
world of his own.
