                                  ί˚͉࠰ʇጤᄳ͛ࣚБࣛdɓಊ˚ό̚σۃࠦd༾Ԉəவɓ                       When I was on a drawing trip to Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, I met this
                                                                                   hundred-year-old sago palm in front of an ancient Japanese building. I
                                  ࣺϵϋ᚛ዓfҢᜓட׵˼׶ସٙ͛նɢdᚔਗٙԒᔶձᔮတ
                                                                                   was shocked by its robust vitality, dynamic body, and sumptuous leaves.

                                                                                   In the painting, in addition to expressing the sense of movement and

                                  तࣿٙߠ౻٤ගชdฮͪ˼߈൳ϵϋࣛ٤Ͼତf                            in the background to suggest that it has travelled through a century of
      ᇭ੹                                                                           time.

                                                                                   To me, I am not just painting a landscape, but the vitality behind it that

                                                                                   has touched me.
