我喜歡木頭，始於對沉香的觀察與著迷，喜歡

複雜的糾結紋理與千迴百轉，是想像的奔馳。

畫從構圖開始，對線條的感知、墨色層次，與
畫面對談的是生活態度與美學，樹不完美，殘
缺的美是境界，對應節氣自然運行，可以豐厚
生命的內質。畫樹，是心境的表現。春分的雨
水滋潤了大地，老樹綻放出嫩芽，生命從新開
始。

Description
Award of Merit
My love for wood began with my observation
of and obsession with sandalwood; I like the
complex and intertwined patterns and twisting
and turning lines, for they allow imagination to
go wild. A painting starts from composition,
through perception of lines and layers of ink, I
converse with the scene about attitude of life
and aesthetics. Trees are not perfect; it is a
higher level to appreciate flawed beauty, and
through the course of seasons, essence of
life is enriched. Painting trees is an expression
of inner world. The rain at spring equinox
nurtures the land, and new buds grow out of
old trees, restarting the cycle of life.
