Description
These eight seals were created after I started studying the
engraved artworks of WANG Fuang. Two of them are in a narrow
red-character style, as I aspire to accomplish the sophistication
demonstrated in Mr. WANG's artwork. Two others are in a white-
character style and all portray neat and solid qualities, although
the strength of the strokes differs slightly. Another two seals
were engraved in bronze rather than in stone, an inspiration
derived from observing MAO Darong's seal works. While Mr.
MAO emphasizes the sensation of a broken and eroded state, I
branched off in another direction. Another seal was created in the
ancient Chinese seal style, while the last one has a clay seal style
from the Yushan School.
