Description
This piece presents the style of Cao-zhuan
script, which was once broadly applied in the
Imperial household a thousand years ago. The
artist’s work brings a powerful, yet outgoing,
style that is mainly applied with a wool
calligraphy brush. Words are arrayed in lines
that display characteristics such as character
size, and the direction, order, layout, density
and tempo of strokes. Details such as dry-
brush effects display a calligraphic spirit.
