Arts Association Exhibition On a cloudless and quiet moonlit night, the harbor wears a mysterious, yet dazzling,
mask. The beauty is beyong words.“How can I illustrate this glamorous mystery?”
the artist contemplated. Adopting bold colors—yellow and purple—the artist utilized a
mixture of acrylic and resin to create the golden light of the moon and the texture of the
moving clouds on this particular night. In so doing, he hopes the strength of Western oil
painting and a state of Zen, best portrayed by watercolor painting, can be appreciated
176 at the same time.
