Description
Cockroaches are known for their strong will
to live. The artist embraces this spirit and
transforms it to symbolize his soul. Facing his
imminent graduation, the artist is overwhelmed
with job-seeking, his illness and mishaps in
his family. Successive hope, disappointment,
despair, acceptance and realization have made
the artist who he is today. By documenting his
questions of life in this creation series, he not
only finds answers but also comfort during the
process. Frustration and challenges are not the
equivalent of punishment but an opportunity.
Recording my confusion and life experiences
is a source of inspiration for creation as well as
a pursuit of solutions to my troubled situation.
This new pattern of co-existence between
cockroaches and me reflects how life always
