Creating is as free as the naked body in the
painting, blocking the bustling world outside.
The scene is a sketch captured using a hard
pen in broad daylight. The rushed brushstrokes
as night falls create a sense of displaced
spacetime. I want to convey the fleeting nature
of time, yet we still have to give our best shot.
The model’s carefree attitude is something
we, who are conscious of societal judgements,
can really learn from. She remains unchanged
in the face of changes, and regardless of how
many eyes are on her, she glances back and
smiles from day to night, still free, and still true
to herself!
