Description
Inspired by PTS’ drama series Seqalu adapted
from the records of Lin Shu-mei’s journey in Qing
dynasty. Imagining the history of southern Taiwan
in 1867, where different ethnicities interacted
and claimed own territories. In terms of format,
I splitted the five-character regulated verse into
two, and wrote inscriptions and annotations in the
center, preserving the natural uncut edges of the
xuan paper and combining the two; fusing seal
and clerical scripts in same characters, I present
the quality of lines. In general, freedom lies within,
and formats and contents answer to selfless
expectations. Only through mutually-benefiting
harmony can we coexist and thrive.
