Description
The Chu system of writing during the Warring
States period was an important branch in the
development of the Han (Chinese) writing
system. It has become a popular research topic in
recent years; the variations of the characters have
been enriched through deleting and borrowing
of strokes, radicals, and phonograms, further
o ering calligraphy new elements.
Owing to newly unearthed and published works,
I have blended my thoughts and reflections on
my studies on works from the Warring States and
Guodian Chu Bamboo Slips on paper. I try to stay
true to the zeitgeist while trying to eliminate the
faults of our time and strive to re ne my skills.
