Description
It is a bogutu (paintings “pro cient in matters to do with
the past”), as well as a series of sightseeing of duality.
The same work achieves simultaneously two modes
of graphic painting and VR, giving rise to two kinds of
relationships between audience and the work.
Utilizing the graphic nature of the picture and the
technological features of VR, as well as the duality of the
protagonist of “The Story of the Stone,” an unquali ed
stone that reincarnates into a jade, and spends his life
swinging between the identities of an innocent self and
a Confucian scholar meeting the expectations of the
society, the work presents the unsolvable situation of
duality.
Is it a stone or an illusion? Is it the true self or a disguise?
Traditional identity or technological identity? All these
are two appearances of the same object, depending on
how you look at it.
