Description ЪۜႭ
The work depicts the garden full of spring sceneries from childhood
memory—a scene of thousands of butter ies dancing. In rural areas ϵሁᕢ࠰ڌ༺ഁϋাኳ༁တ݆Ѝeຬሁ߈ٙࠦf60
in the 1960s, people had limited resources as many children went to ϋ˾ٙඊdᒔϞഹԏ໔ɪኪٙՍ߮dߠഹࣣ̍߈൳͞ବֆࠌࣧ
school without shoes, and run around in the elds towards the gate
of school carrying their bags. Despite my stumbling, I remember the ژٙྤfᒱ⠐Шၾ༩ཀࣛတ˂࠭ႀeЍᙴٙሀሁҖϓ࿁
butterflies flying when I passed by. Contrasting with the colourful
butter ies leisurely dancing among owers, I reminded myself that ˢd፴ഹϓڗʕٙІʉd͛ն͍˸˼ࡡ͛ՈϞٙҖ࿒˙ό࢝ ɝ፯
life is manifesting itself in its most original form, as we all had our စdჯ˂նdۇک݊l Short List
mandates that we must bravely embrace!
The work is black and white, symbolizing the sorrows of time; ੵЪۜॱලͣɚЍdᅄࣛගϞଅdፆЍٙাኳܘᅼᇔ˲ɦ
faded memories are blurry yet real, as I have already forgotten the

and only the shapes of their wings flying and dancing in the air ᕐॼҖًf
remain in my memory.
I used gesso to paint irregular color patches as the foundation, and л͜GESSO෩כϓʔۆٙ෯ֵࠦ͂dΎ͜ൄ̺͘بذᏜ̈ॼ
used scrub as paintbrush to smudge the lines of wings and shapes of
owers. An experiment with not using a paintbrush. " ၶᇞૢ˸ʿڀϢٙҖًfʔ͜അٙɓࡈྒྷ༊f
