LIN Tzu-Chiung

Description
Thinking back, Barbie dolls wove the youth
and childhood of every girl. Their body carry
the marks of time and spiritual stories. I have
redesigned and changed their looks, breaking
free from their original standardized image.
My intention is to give every doll a spirit in the
painting, so that they possess own unique looks.
Every Barbie doll, in fact, vaguely re ects part of
the self-consciousness, and it is like me staging a
special encounter with them, so that objects are
no longer just objects, but symbolic elements
after filtering the external looks that have
become important roles of intimacy in life.
