Description
“Changing ire” was an ancient practice of
making ire with different species of wood in four
seasons. When seasons change, state agency in
charge of iring would conduct wood-changing
ceremony, and this was referred to as “changing
ire.” I believe that the practice of changing ire is
more than just practicality, it also embodies the
close relationship between men and nature. It is a
kind of re lection, just like the Book of Change and
eight trigrams have both risen from nature, and
guided people in accordance to nature.
