the habit of being alone. As mentioned in the classic, "Zhongyong", "There is nothing
more visible than what is secret, and nothing more manifest than what is minute.
Therefore the superior man is watchful over himself, when he is alone." The truth is
more visible in the dark, and the smaller the detail, the more obvious it is. One can only
manage to maintain their integrity and honesty constantly through the refinement of
music. The title of this piece is a single Mandarin Chinese character meaning "music",
expressing the idea that the emptiness of the soul can be satisfied with music, and only
