Arts Exhibition of Taichung City - Back in the days when transportation choices were more limited, rickshaws were the
Crafts Category main method of transportation. Rickshaw drivers worked hard for meager wages to
feed their families. In between customers, they would lean on the handlebars to have a
smoke and wait for their next run. Time seemed to crumble and disappear in the smoke
like the cigarettes between their fingers. Yet this is life. Rickshaws have now been

replaced by cars, and are viewed as antiques.
